6 Reasons Your Google Reviews Are Disappearing

You log into your Google Business Profile on a Tuesday morning expecting the same count you had on Monday. Instead, it's down by three. No notification. No explanation. No obvious appeal process. Just fewer stars.

4. Your Profile Was Flagged for a Suspicious Review Pattern

Google doesn't evaluate reviews only as individual data points. It tracks patterns across your profile over time. This catches business owners who ask employees to leave reviews on their phones during a shift. It catches the owner's own review if they post it from the business address. And it catches a pattern that has become increasingly common: the shared tablet or lobby kiosk where staff invite customers to "quickly leave a review before you go." Every review submitted on that device carries the same IP address, from the same physical location, often within the same hour. Google's systems flag this pattern quickly, and they typically remove the entire batch rather than evaluating each review individually.
